Dr. Joshua Kirven is the founder and chief consultant of KirvKorp Impact Solutions. Dr. Kirven is a clinical social worker with over twenty years as a researcher-practitioner and college educator. He is a LISC subject matter expert in the areas of authentic community engagement and capacity. Dr. Kirven is a JCOIN fellow and fellows graduate of the Michigan State University, School of Criminal Justice Innovations Suite. His research includes first responder perceptions and experiences with marginalized populations, fathers and stress, deflection and pre-arrest diversion, smart decarceration, and police/community relations and public safety. He has an array of research and practice experience with micro solution-oriented interventions and macro programming across communities, public systems and public-private sectors. He is an SME for LISC in the areas of community engagement and pro-adaptive behaviors and communications. He is a Fulbright Scholar and graduate of Hampton University, University of South Carolina and The Ohio State University, respectively.
